Grant Funding and Income Generation for Sports Clubs

Many grassroots clubs miss out on grant funding not because they are ineligible, but because they lack the time, experience, or capacity to identify the right opportunities and write strong applications alongside everything else a committee manages.

We take that work on. We have helped clubs across the UK, from small grassroots teams to larger community trusts, secure grant funding from a wide range of sources and build the income infrastructure that makes them less dependent on any single stream.

How we help

01

Finding the right funders

Not every funding opportunity is the right fit for every club, and a poorly targeted application is rarely a successful one. We take time to understand your club's situation, activities, and ambitions before identifying funders whose priorities align with what you are genuinely doing. This means the applications we write are grounded in your club's real story, not shaped around a funder's agenda.

02

Writing applications

We write funding applications on behalf of the clubs we work with, building the case for support that funders want to see. This includes presenting your club's impact clearly, evidencing need, and demonstrating how the funding will be used. Good applications take time to do well. It is time most volunteer committees simply do not have.

03

Ongoing funding management

For clubs on our Club Maximise package, we manage grant funding proactively and on an ongoing basis, identifying new opportunities, maintaining funder relationships, and submitting an average of four applications per month. This consistent approach produces better results than occasional, reactive applications.

04

Online Giving

We support clubs to set up with JustGiving and similar platforms, enabling them to accept donations online easily and securely, and to run specific fundraising campaigns around events, facilities, or development projects.

05

Diversifying income

We advise clubs on building income that goes beyond grant funding and membership fees, including community fundraising, trading income, and facility hire, to reduce financial vulnerability and increase long-term resilience.
